
For this 100% privately owned company, servicing managers of real estate, private equity, debt, and infrastructure funds, we are looking for a very experienced professional to lead a team of 6 people sitting in Luxembourg and London.
The ideal candidate would have familiarity with leadership and oversight of a team/teams of depository. Taking responsibility for the structure, design and delivery of AIFMD depositary services.
Your Responsibilities
Oversee the provision of depositary services to a growing portfolio of real estate and private equity fund clients in line with the requirements of AIFMD, AIFMD, relevant legislation and relevant regulatory publications.
Take responsibility for the line management of staff within the depositary function.
Identify and capitalise on potential new depositary business development opportunities.
Take responsibility for the management of existing and new depositary client relationships.
Take responsibility for the development and implementation of the Company depositary services strategy and operating model.
Monitor and report on legal and regulatory developments affecting Company's depositary business in Luxembourg and across the group.
Provide internal training and guidance on depositary obligations and responsibilities.
Report to Company and client boards in relation to the provision of depositary services.
Take responsibility for communication with third parties regarding depositary matters (to include but not limited to third party AIFM, client service teams, internal auditor, local regulators)
Where required, contribute to a range of regulatory projects.
Your Profile
7 -10 years' experience in similar function
In-depth industry knowledge;
A thorough understanding of AIFMD depositary roles and responsibilities;
Legal background and/or strong knowledge on Luxembourg legistlation would be considered as a strong asset;
Demonstrated experience in previous roles where a high level of responsibility and autonomy has been held with of the responsibility for determining the direction taken by the candidate's relevant section of the business taking into consideration the operating model and the activities of the Company;
Demonstrated professional expertise, understanding, competence and experience by virtue of their having previously carried on similar activities at a similar level;
Strong Team management skills;
Fluent in English - any other major European languages are an advantage;
