As a core member of our Citco REIF Services (Luxembourg) SA team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.
Citco REIF Services (Luxembourg) SA, which services our fast growing PE&RA lines of business, is looking for a European Cosec lead to manage and build out the Company Secretarial offering, location strategy and centralized client servicing integration within our global servicing platforms. The successful candidate will likely be added to the daily management of CREIF Luxembourg, and as such needs to be approved by the CSSF.
Your Role:
- You will translate (financial) organizational and client KPI’s into team’s goals and objectives and monitor performance thereof.
- You will coach, develop, lead and appraise employees within the European teams in order to motivate and optimally manage personnel.
- You will implement processes and procedures to ensure in- and external compliance and communicate high quality standards seeking opportunities to implement efficiencies and grow the book of business.
- You will review legal and administrative documentation procedures and provide feedback for improvement, enhancement, change, or external review if needed, in order to guarantee correct and timely delivery and the highest quality of work.
- You will maintain and develop multiple business relations with clients and other (internal / external) stakeholders.
- You will manage multiple locational staff members and ensure business line stakeholder are adequately serviced for their respective clients and act as escalation point where appropriate.
- You will continually seek to understand current and emerging clients and market needs, expectations and business priorities from current and potential clients.
- You will recognize opportunities for new and existing contacts, with management approval negotiate and acquire contracts with clients to contribute to the business development.
- You will proactively monitor financial performance of the CoSec offering and revenue performance; you will also monitor these on a monthly basis and take corrective measures where needed in order to meet Citco’s financial targets.
- You will be aware of, execute and ensure adherence of applicable Citco policies, procedures and internal controls (including audit, risk & compliance, business continuity, local regulations) and foster a favorable control environment in order to secure Citco’s assets, reputation and to keep the company in good standing.
- You will be responsible for financial client management: analyze reports of time spent on clients, monitor adherence to SLAs, actively manage client’s accounts and constantly take measures to improve where possible in order to meet Citco’s financial targets.
- You will proactively manage PE&RA client relationships within Europe, with respect to financial, operational and service level performance.
- You will oversee operational client service (including other European offices) for PE&RA clients, and ensure service quality and timely delivery by regularly contacting with clients in order to achieve operational excellence and build long-term business relationships.
- You will take a proactive role in business development and new client acquisition through marketing (locally and internationally) and position Citco as a partner of choice in local jurisdictions. You will also participate in pitches for new mandates and other client presentations.
- You will stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes; develop strategies to translate opportunities for current/prospective clients to enhance relationships.
- You will plan resources in line with business demands, participate in the recruitment and selection process, lead, coach, develop and appraise employees in order to optimally manage, engage and retain staff.
- You will develop and update technical skills and professional knowledge, recognize training needs and ensure the development and exchange of knowledge across jurisdictions to facilitate learning and enhance capability.
- You will follow and ensure existing work standards and procedures are of the highest standard
- You will ensure proper use of internal/external systems, initiate, propose and ensure implementation process improvements in procedures and systems in order to optimize work processes.
- You will ensure service delivery to clients is of the highest quality.
- You may act as a director of legal entities and fulfil all necessary actions in order to keep the client company in good standing and compliant with (local) laws and regulatory requirements as well as to ensure that Citco’s interests are protected in order to prevent reputational and financial risk.
- You will collaborate with group functions Legal, Tax, Audit, Risk & Compliance, Finance and other key stakeholders where appropriate.
About You:
- You have Master’s degree in Law.
- You have 10-15 years relevant experience in Corporate Law field and at least 8-10 years of experience in a managerial role gained through an international firm.
- You have experience in international environment and project management.
- You can demonstrate flexibility and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- You have very strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- You have general knowledge in Private Equity & Real Assets Fund + SPV reporting requirements.
- You have strong and detailed knowledge of Private Equity & Real Assets Fund + SPV structuring and applicable European statutory and regulatory requirements.
- You are able to lead teams, motivate staff and maintain a positive and pleasant working environment with a sustainable and healthy work life balance.
- You can demonstrate skills in negotiation, business planning and budgeting, margin analysis, rating agency relations.
- You have an experience in developing/implementing/optimizing business processes for the company secretarial offering in the Private Equity & Real Assets Fund + SPV admin space.
- You have general understanding of International GAAP/IFRS Accounting Principles.
- You are fluent in English and preferably have a reasonable business level in French and German languages.
- You have advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio).
