Head of Accounting - Your responsibilities:
As Head of Accounting, you will take full ownership of the accounting department of ~15 professionals (juniors to seniors), ensuring quality deliverables and efficient workflows across a varied client base, including SOPARFI, SPVs, securitization vehicles and PE/RE funds.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and organizing the accounting team (15 people), ensuring deadlines, training, and performance follow-ups
- Reviewing complex deliverables: NAVs, investor reports, financial statements, management accounts
- Managing key accounting and tax matters (Lux GAAP, VAT, CIT, CSSF, BCL filings)
- Acting as senior point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and clients
- Contributing to the growth of the department by enhancing internal procedures and controls
- Staffing, coaching, and developing team members
- Driving internal projects: system improvement, automation, efficiency boost
- Escalating critical issues and assisting senior leadership in steering the business forward
Head of Accounting - Your profile:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar managing role within a PSF, financial service provider, fiduciary or ManCo
- Technical skills: Strong command of Lux GAAP & IFRS and tax/regulatory framework in Luxembourg
- Proven experience managing and mentoring teams
- English: mandatory (spoken & written) & French or Italian: considered an asset
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-driven
- You'll influence processes and team structure
