The opportunity:
We are currently looking for a HR Officer to join our Human Resources Team. This role, which reports directly to the HR Manager, is vital in supporting both the HR department and the HR Manager. The HR Officer will be responsible for managing the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, fostering a positive work environment, and providing direct support to the HR Manager. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
What you’ll be doing:
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:
- Provide HR guidance and support:Act as a point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters, providing advice and guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Employee Engagement and Retention: Play a support role in developing and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and retention. Conduct employee surveys and analyse feedback to identify areas for improvement. This includes planning and executing employee events, such as team-building activities, company celebrations, and recognition programs, to foster a positive and engaging work environment.
- Compensation and Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs, including enrolments, changes, and terminations.
HR ADMINISTRATION:
- HRIS Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS. Generate reports and analyse data to support HR decision-making.
- Payroll: Support coordination of the payroll process.
- Office Management Support: The HR Officer will also play a role in maintaining the office environment. This includes assisting with tasks to ensure that the office is well-maintained and supplies are adequately stocked.
RECRUITMENT AND ONBOARDING:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle: This includes posting job ads, screening resumes, conducting interviews, coordinating assessments, checking references, and extending job offers. Negotiate compensation and benefits packages within established guidelines.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Play a support role in developing and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs to integrate new hires effectively. Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring compliance and a smooth transition.
- Maintain recruitment metrics: Track key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness to identify areas for improvement and optimize recruitment processes.
What we want from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg labour law and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of one of the Luxembourgish official languages is required.
- EU working permit.
