Junior Accountant - Responsibilities
As an Internal Accountant, you will:
- Process, validate, and ensure timely payment of incoming and outgoing invoices.
- Record and review all accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile accounts and address discrepancies to maintain precise financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Draft and submit VAT declarations in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage taxes specific to the banking sector.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely publication of accounts in compliance with legal obligations.
- Maintain well-organized and accurate accounting records for audit readiness and internal use.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes in accounting and taxation to ensure process compliance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting-related issues and support decision-making.
Junior Accountant - Your Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluency in French (oral and written) and good knowledge of English. Dutch is an advantage.
- A first year of experience or internship in accounting, ideally in banking sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Knowledge of Luxembourg accounting standards, VAT regulations, and banking accounting practices is essential.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail, autonomy, and adaptability.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proactive problem-solving approach.
- Upholds discretion and ethical standards.
