As an Legal Counsel - Financing and Private Banking, you will support our Client's financing activities, providing legal advice and managing risks related to financing transactions, private banking, and regulatory matters.

Working within a 20-person legal team, you will collaborate across business units and contribute to fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.

Description

As Legal Counsel - Financing and Private Banking, you will be responsible for:

Financing Activities:

• Provide legal advice on financing matters, including credit agreements, guarantees, and cross-border transactions.
• Assess and mitigate legal risks while safeguarding the interests of the bank and its clients.
• Support the development of international financing activities.

Contract and Documentation Review:

• Draft and review financing contracts, agreements, and guarantees.
• Maintain and update legal templates and forms, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Team and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Contribute to team cohesion and uphold a culture of respect and support.
• Participate in transversal legal projects and facilitate training for colleagues on banking and financial law.

Regulatory and Advisory:

• Stay informed on legal and regulatory developments to anticipate impacts on financing and private banking activities.
• Provide expert input for strategic initiatives and compliance measures.

Private Banking Focus:

• Offer specialized expertise in private banking transactions and structures, leveraging prior experience in private banks or law firms servicing such clients.

Profile

The ideal candidate Legal Counsel - Financing and Private Banking that we are looking for has the following profile :

• Experience: At least 5 years in banking law, financial law, or private banking, ideally within a private bank or a law firm advising on private banking.
• Skills: Strong expertise in legal risk management, contract negotiation, and Luxembourg regulatory frameworks.
• Languages: Fluency in French and advanced English, with a willingness to improve if needed.
