Risk Manager - MUR197

Greenfield is pleased to be working exclusively with a Private Equity firm on the search of an experienced Risk Manager to participate to the development of its Luxembourg operations. Our client serves its investors first without compromising its values, working to improve environmental, social and corporate governance across its portfolio companies. As such, the AIFM’s risk and compliance team plays an active role within the investment life cycle from an AIFM regulatory perspective to operational aspects at portfolio company level. This is a unique opportunity to join an active investor, seeking to the transformative growth of its portfolio companies, driving long-term value. The Risk Manager reports to the conducting officer in charge of the risk management and compliance. As a central element of the Company control framework, he/she interacts also with the other functions such as portfolio management, UCI administration, marketing as well as other operational teams.

The Role:

Participate to the risk management function

• Contribute to initial & ongoing Risk Assessment and Risk Profiling of the AIFs
• Contribute to, implement and maintain the Company’s risk management policy and procedure,
• Monitor the risks to which the AIFs are or may be exposed
• Actively participate to the Company’s regulatory intelligence and initiate any relevant update,
• Implement an oversight framework to monitor the activities of the AIFs’ delegates and service providers on quarterly basis through external reports analysis and any relevant KPIs,
• Prepare and submit the AIFMD reports for the Company, the AIFs and other non-EU AIFs
• Prepare the quarterly AIFM risk report to the Management Committee, Board of the AIFM and to the AIFs Board,
• Prepare the annual report of the Company’s risk management function.
• Support the following functions from a risk management perspective:
  • Portfolio management function
  • Valuation function from a risk management perspective
  • Compliance function from a risk management perspective
  • The UCI administration function from a risk management perspective
  • Marketing function from a risk management perspective
  • The AIFM operations from a risk management perspective

Your Profile:

• University degree in law or similar
• Solid experience as Risk officer and knowledge of setting a Risk Management Framework
• Fluent English. Any other European languages is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and attention to detail
• Computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office
• Strong organizational skills.
• Highly versatile and adaptable; Eager to learn.
• Ability to work well independently, and as a team player.
