You will be responsible for providing legal support to the Front Office and its support teams / departments. You will report to the legal team leader.
Your next challenge:
- Provide legal advice with regard to the Corporate & Institutional Banking and Retail activities (concerning mainly civil, commercial, corporate and consumer law aspects)
- Advise BIL Group on its duties and responsibilities in respect of these activities
- Draft, review, negotiate any types of agreements in relation with activities (mostly but not exclusively standard and customized credit agreements & security packages)
- Contribute to BIL group projects by giving the best legal recommendations
- Actively participate in the legal and regulatory developments within BIL group including the launch of new products in coordination with other departments (compliance, risks, product development, IT…)
- Participate in external working groups (ABBL, etc.)
- Coordinate outside counsel
- Provide support to the Head of Legal and team members on various matters
Your skills:
- University degree in law (BAC+5)
- Qualified lawyer within the European Union
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a large financial institution or a law firm in Luxembourg
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg's corporate, financing and banking environment
- Excellent organization and coordination skills, combining attention to detail and an efficient overview of key questions and priorities
- Fluency in English and French is mandatory. German is an asset.
