Our job opportunity
Today, we are currently recruiting a Winter Operations Expert.
Your responsibilities
*Your daily tasks
Managing, developing, evaluating and implementing a comprehensive and effective winter service programme (snow plan) and concept of operations for Luxembourg Airport in cooperation with all partners.
Being the domain expert for all aspects related to winter operations and, as such, defining and supporting the development of the concept, procedures, tools, equipment and facilities dedicated to winter services at lux-Airport
Aligning and developing relevant processes and procedures in line with regulations and best practice
Managing and developing roles and responsibilities between internal (technical, environmental, etc.) and external (ANSP, airlines, handlers, etc.) partners on winter operations issues, as well as with contractors and within teams
Supporting and developing processes and procedures, training standards, and assessing skills, identifying shortcomings and implementing the necessary actions to meet requirements
Monitoring technological developments and best practice to develop winter operations at lux-Airport, both in terms of processes and equipment
Ensuring compliance with safety and compliance regulations
During the winter period, providing support in the execution and running of winter operations; at the end of the period, drawing up status reports with a view to continuous improvement.
After each winter period, assessing the performance and effectiveness of processes
*Your other missions
Participating in inclusion initiatives (e.g. Hidden Disabilities Sunflower project, for people with invisible disabilities).
Participating in the integration of new employees
Participating in waste sorting and energy saving through responsible behavior

The required profile
Studies / training
Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience

Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in airport operations
Minimum 3 years' experience in winter services at an aerodrome

Skills and knowledge required
*IT Tools
Mandatory:
Microsoft Office suite
*Languages
Mandatory:
French: operational level in the business (B2 minimum)
English: fluent spoken and written (C1 minimum)
Nice-to-have:
German: the knowledge of this language would be an asset.
*Know-how and interpersonal skills specific to the job
Ability to multi-task
Excellent organizational skills
Teamwork and collaboration

Valid permanent B driving licence
