This newly created job will give you the opportunity to join a great team in Luxembourg, to work with a famous global player and to bring added value being the local person of contact for the regulator.
You will work in this transverse role on market risk and liquidity risk while ensuring that the business is compliant with the relevant regulations.
You will be responsible for identifying, analysing and quantifying key risk exposures to support the management in its understanding of the market and in its decisions.
Your Responsibilities
* Perform risk analysis beyond regulatory requirements on market risk, including but not limited to VaR, back-testing, risk decomposition, stress testing.
* Perform liquidity risk analysis including cost to liquidate, time to liquidate, redemption coverage ratios, simulations.
* Implement, maintain consistent analytics across various scopes of funds through robust processes.
* Ensure data quality for the risk coverage, make sure instrument risk mapping is accurate.
* Analysis and Interpretation of Risk using a variety of metrics measures through various dashboards.
* Work closely and collaboratively with other support teams on an ongoing basis, particularly during product development and launch initiatives.
* Assess the fund risk profiles on the risk framework for new product initiatives by analysing model portfolios, determine and propose Key Risk Indicators to monitor associated to respective thresholds at the Risk committees.
* Participate in the selection and rollout of next-generation risk analytics and reporting, developing deep expertise in market practices and evolution as well as understanding of ongoing regulatory requirements.
Your Profile
* University degree in math completed with 7+ years of experience in risk management within the asset management industry.
* Solid knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory environment
* Good quantitative and programming skills (VB, SQL).
* Fluent in English with a good knowledge of French
* Knowledge of all instruments held in a fund (equity, fixed income, derivatives…).

Senior Risk Officer- Asset Management- Real Estate


Your responsibilities will be:


As the risk of a super manage company, you will become part of a flexible team and contribute by evaluating, monitoring and reporting all risks related to funds under governance and further developing the risk culture within the organisation.


- Prepare audit tasks and hold meetings with relevant internal and external contacts (management committee, board audit committee, group audit and external auditors) to ensure proper coverage of key risk areas identified in the bank.


- Organize and coordinate human, financial and technical resources to effectively complete the audit tasks defined in the audit plan.


- Implement and design appropriate inspection and control measures to ensure the efficiency of the bank's internal control and its applicability to the bank's risk tolerance.


- Review the audit report and track the results of the report to ensure the internal control system and support its continuous improvement


- Provide/refine suggestions on the team's business capabilities.


- Actively promote good relationships with external auditors, stakeholders and regulatory agencies.


- Make suggestions and participate in internal projects (process improvements, new product releases, and new regulations to comply with their expertise).


- Prepare audit tasks and hold meetings with relevant internal and external contacts (management committee, board audit committee, group audit and external auditors) to ensure appropriate coverage of key risk areas identified in the bank.

- Provide advice to the general management of the bank on current and long-term risk management methods to promote the continuous improvement of the internal control system and the definition of sustainable business strategies.

Your profile:


- Have over 5 years of professional risk management and/or evaluation experience in the investment fund industry (AIF (preferably real estate and/or infrastructure) and UCITS).


- Have management and regulatory expertise of AIFMD and UCITS,


- Build entrepreneurship, implement the processes asked and further improve them


- Excellent numerical and analytical capabilities


- Able to challenge new ideas in fund structure, investment strategy and investment process from a risk perspective


- Proficient in written and oral communication in English and German or French


- Strong team partner, full of vitality and resilience, able to work independently


- Proficient in MS Office

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Perform first line controls and actions required to comply with the implementation of CSDR, ICS framework, Information Security and Data Protection standards. 
  • Perform information owner related activities: Review, assess and prepare for formal decisions. Including the: MEGA Asset inventory, Information Classification, Information Security Risk Register, Record of Processing Activities (ROPA)
  • Evaluate Material Change and chair the LuxCSD Material Change Process Committee.  Support LuxCSD Outsourcing coordinator and Outsourcing Governance Committee (OGC)
  • Oversee implementation of the ICS framework. Coordinate and participate directly in the SAP GRC process mapping, coordination with in-sourcers. Review and update company Unit Recovery Plans with operational units. Review risk scenarios and CSDR methodology.
  • Analyse Risk related Policies and propose procedures. Prepare for approvals and implement measures as necessary
  • Provide and evaluate Key Risk Indicators for monthly ComEx 
  • Assist with external auditor requests  
  • Back up for team members as required

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree. Preferably in business, finance or law. 
  • Risk, Compliance, controlling/financial training and experience.
  • Seasoned professional with solid experience in the regulated, financial sector. 
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Computer and technology literate. 
  • Strong interpersonal and organisation skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Ideally with French as a second language.

Field of activity

Group Credit`s overriding objective is to ensure that business activities are conducted within a prudent credit risk framework that is consistent with the bank’s credit appetite and in compliance with regulatory and supervisory requirements. In your position as Credit Officer you will be responsible to monitor customer’s exposures targeting maximum settlement efficiency while ensuring that the level of credit risk accepted by Clearstream is in accordance with the bank’s credit policies, underwriting standard and regulatory requirements.

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Monitor credit exposures, force purchases of securities and authorise the release of customers’ payments while ensuring strict adherence to credit policies and procedures
  • Daily review of failed / blocked instructions ensuring timely adherence to currency deadlines
  • Input and maintenance of credit and collateral data in the systems of records
  • Assess customer’s credit needs based on historical data and available collateral
  • Work on the maintenance, concepts/design, testing and implementation of new and existing credit tools
  • Contribute to the review, upgrade and development of credit policies, procedures and guideline
  • Review and assess the impact on the credit business of new regulations and guidelines issued by relevant authorities in Luxembourg, Frankfurt and Singapore

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in Finance
  • Good knowledge of financial markets and instruments

Our client is a Management Company, based in Luxembourg. In order to strengthen their risk department (8 people), they are looking for a Risk Analyst with a mid-level experience. You will report directly to the Head of Risk.
This specific role offers significant exposure across all Risks Asset Management disciplines.
Your responsibility:
  • Reporting to members of the Management Company and to the Head of Risk on matters relating to UCITS/AIFMD risks and regular reporting on the effectiveness of risk management;
  • Defining and maintaining of the fund's risk profile;
  • Establishing adequate risk limits;
  • Investigating and resolving any breaches;
  • Designing and implementing adequate reporting to measure and monitor all risks relevant to the Management Company;
  • Providing report on risk monitoring results to the risk committees, boards and CSSF;
  • Following industry developments in risk management;
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects and working on risk related matters.

Your profile:
  • A Master degree (ideally in Finance, economics or mathematics);
  • A minimum of 3 year's in a similar position. An experience in Asset Management is an asset;
  • Excellent understanding of the relevant rules and regulations for risk areas, including the knowledge of UCITS and AIFMD;
  • English and French are mandatory; Another EU language will be an asset;
  • Microsoft Office tools' mastery;
  • Proactive, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Role/ Department:

Our New Partner day to day responsibility, in collaboration with his team members, will be the execution of tasks to support the IT risk and control assessments, information security initiatives, and /or user access management activities. This Partner will also actively participate in the identification, assessment and reporting of technology and information security risk. In this position, the partner will also have the chance to collaborate with peers and manager on IT Risk and Information Security projects.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Identify risks associated with the use of technology for internal systems and hosted external systems.
  • Ensure compliance of internal and hosted external systems within the context of IT programs with Luxembourg laws and regulations, Northern Trust policies and IT Standards.
  • Participate in the elaboration and implementation of a local IT service management and governance framework.
  • Review and assess controls through established frameworks.
  • Perform periodic exception reviews and proactively highlight deviations from standards.
  • Collaborate with peers to determine action plans to remediate identified risks.
  • Ensure operational oversight of IT outsourcings through periodic reviews and controls.
  • Effectively coordinate internal and external audits for the IT department.
  • Document and report findings and remediation plans to management.
  • Execute access management related tasks and reviews.
  • Support local Information Security Officer in Information Security activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management teams to provide continuous improvement to Information Security and Technology Risk Policies and frameworks.
  • Remain informed on trends and issues in the security industry, including current and emerging technologies.

Skills/ Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

• Relevant experience in IT risk management experience and oversight of IT outsourcing.

• Good understanding of Information Security, IT audit and IT risk management principles. 

• Understanding of assessments of IT related processes such as system and information security, system development and change management, computer operations and data protection.

• Understanding of Financial Services industry regulations, specifically those defined by Luxembourg CSSF

• Demonstrated ability to work well in both an individual contributor and team capacity, in particular multi-national teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Able to interact in a professional manner and develop relationships with individuals and teams at any level in Northern Trust or third party service provider.

This newly created job will give you the opportunity to join a great team in Luxembourg, to work with a famous global player and to bring added value being the local person of contact for the regulator.

You will work in this transverse role on market risk and liquidity risk while ensuring that the business is compliant with the relevant regulations.

You will be responsible for identifying, analysing and quantifying key risk exposures to support the management in its understanding of the market and in its decisions.

Your Responsibilities

* Perform risk analysis beyond regulatory requirements on market risk, including but not limited to VaR, back-testing, risk decomposition, stress testing.
* Perform liquidity risk analysis including cost to liquidate, time to liquidate, redemption coverage ratios, simulations.
* Implement, maintain consistent analytics across various scopes of funds through robust processes.
* Ensure data quality for the risk coverage, make sure instrument risk mapping is accurate.
* Analysis and Interpretation of Risk using a variety of metrics measures through various dashboards.
* Work closely and collaboratively with other support teams on an ongoing basis, particularly during product development and launch initiatives.
* Assess the fund risk profiles on the risk framework for new product initiatives by analysing model portfolios, determine and propose Key Risk Indicators to monitor associated to respective thresholds at the Risk committees.
* Participate in the selection and rollout of next-generation risk analytics and reporting, developing deep expertise in market practices and evolution as well as understanding of ongoing regulatory requirements.

Your Profile

* University degree in math completed with 7+ years of experience in risk management within the asset management industry.
* Solid knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory environment
* Good quantitative and programming skills (VB, SQL).
* Fluent in English with a good knowledge of French
* Knowledge of all instruments held in a fund (equity, fixed income, derivatives…).
