DNB Asset Management S.A. is a leading asset manager in the Nordic region with around 140 employees across offices in Norway and Luxembourg and has more than EUR 80bn assets under management.

DNB Asset Management S.A. (the “Management Company”) is the Luxembourg arm and a licensed UCITS funds management company, a so called Chapter 15 management company. The Management Company is principally engaged in UCITS fund administration, management, supervision and international marketing & sales. The International Marketing & Sales team is responsible for active fund distribution to international wholesale and institutional clients in markets outside the Nordic region, whereas the Governance and Administration team deals with the daily operations, contractual distributors as well as the compliance, risk and legal aspects of the fund management activity. 

We are now recruiting a Head of Oversight for our Management Company.

As a Head of Oversight you will be part of the Governance and Administration team of DNB Asset Management S.A., you will be the key driver of the oversight of the main service providers of the Management Company such as the Administrative Agent and the Distribution network. As a perfect candidate for this position, you have gained a founded operational experience in the Administration and the Distribution of Luxembourg UCITS. You are proactive, results-driven and keen on improving the service rendered to the Management Company and to its fund under management (the “Fund”). You have also gained a first managerial experience and are able to motivate and drive colleagues to achieve the set goals.  

You will report to the Deputy Managing Director of DNB Asset Management S.A.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the Management Committee while contributing to efficient information sharing and to the development of the assigned activities within the Management Company;
  • Monitoring the level of service delivered by the service providers and performing a close follow-up of operational issues on a permanent basis;
  • In line with the regulatory framework (CSSF circular 18/698), managing the operations oversight processes on behalf of the Management Company;
  • Ensuring a permanent streamlining of the operational processes in collaboration with the service providers in order to keep up with market standards;
  • Producing regular reports on activity assigned, illustrated by figures and key performance indicators prepared or provided by external service providers;
  • Participating in the negotiation of any set-up change with the involved service providers;
  • Liaising with services providers of the Management Company, auditors and tax advisors;
  • Coordinating the registration of the Fund and its shares in the various jurisdictions including all information sharing, or reports to fulfil the local FSAs requirements;
  • Staying abreast of regulatory developments in Luxembourg and in countries of Fund’s distribution while actively advising the Management Committee about any events that may have impact on the Fund’s distribution;
  • Acting as primary contact to the Luxembourg regulator or foreign regulators , particularly in the area of Funds distribution;
  • Actively participating in improvement of commercial materials of the Fund’s (e.g. Factsheets, KIIDs, PRIIPs, EMT/ EPT) so those are in line with regulatory requirements and market practice.

Competence and experience requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent, in finance, banking, accountancy, tax, business administration
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the Luxembourg fund industry that has enabled the candidate to gain an in depth knowledge of the distribution and the administration part of UCITS asset management
  • First class communication skills (both written and verbal) in English. Other languages such as French, German or Norwegian represent an additional asset
