Investment Valuation Senior Consultant – Real Estate Audit in Luxembourg
About the job
You will deliver value to the RE Audit Departement and their Clients by providing specialist knowledge, insight and objectivity in support of the audit for financial reporting purposes. You have excellent analytical and communication skills and can clearly explain technical valuation topics in simple terms with all levels of the organization.
You have the skillset to competently review valuation reports throughout Europe, the UK and wider international jurisdictions covering the main institutional asset classes. You have an appreciation of what constitutes relevant comparable evidence and its importance in the assessment of reliability in the valuation process. You will communicate with Clients and Independent Valuers and where, necessary, challenge methods, assumptions, valuation rationale and conclusions with professional skepticism.
You ensure that valuation professional standards, and local legal and regulatory requirements are adhered to from a valuation perspective and have a sound appreciation of the principles of the Red Book Global, IVS and IFRS 13.
As a Specialist, you organize, manage and deliver internal valuation related trainings, develop and maintain an industry network and participate in wider industry working committees and events.
About You
You are a RICS Registered Valuer with a thorough understanding and practical experience of the main investment valuation methods; the Investment Method, DCF and the Residual methods.
You possess outstanding analytical capability and are comfortable analysing and interpreting valuation results from all manner of methods and techniques. You take pride in your work and possess the diligence, discipline and resourcefulness that ensures your opinions of value are credible and accurate.
You have an inquisitive and open mind and can appreciate alternative valuation perspectives and local market practices. You have the courage and confidence to challenge and discuss the views of other professionals when necessary.
You are motivated by continuous professional development and the development of others and have a keen interest in the wider macro-economic issues and their effect on RE markets.
