Description

We are representing an international successful Investment Group, specialising in illiquid and liquid strategies, mainly Private Equity, Real Estate and Asset Management.

By keeping a human-size structure, their Luxembourg Office is growing and requires an additional support to their Accounting & Control competency.

Accordingly, they are currently hiring a Financial (Junior) Accountant that would assist his reporting line on the bookkeeping of the Luxembourg legal entities of the Group, including taking ownership of Accounts Payable/Invoicing.

This is the ideal opportunity for a smart, eager-to-learn Accountant aiming to be part of a successful business with a entrepreneurial mindset, where he/she could evolve technically and professionally.

Accountabilities of the Role:

  • Day to day bookkeeping of the various legal entities of the investment group, in a monthly/quarterly close perspective;
  • Intercompany reconciliations;
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations;
  • Direct involvement in the legal entities’ financial statements’ preparation;
  • Involvement in the transactions: understanding of the structuring, especially in respect of PE/RE operations;
  • Receipting and preparing all purchase invoices for processing;
  • Recording as received, all purchase invoices on the financial accounting system (BOB 50 Sage);
  • Processing authorised invoices on the accounting system and posting them to the general ledger;
  • Preparing payments for each legal entity in adherence to Company’s payment policy;
  • Dealing with and managing incoming supplier payment queries and issues;
  • Ensure that all supplier master data held in the accounts system is accurate and complete;
  • Support to the preparation of VAT returns;
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects – as the case may be – under the supervision of the Head of Accounting (e.g. implementation of the accounting system in the new accounting software).

Profile:

  • Strong understanding of Accounting principles and mechanisms;
  • 1 to 2 years of practical experience in Accounting;
  • Smart and accurate: passionate for accounting and eager to learn;
  • Familiarity with BOB 50 Sage and/or Oracle would be an advantage;
  • Sound organizational skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English – Italian and/or French would be an advantage;
  • Flexibility, proactivity and a “can do” attitude.
